Global Meetings Industry Day

April 12, 2018 @ 1:00 pm6:00 pm EDT

Make Your Voices Heard!

MPI Philadelphia Area Chapter and the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of PCMA are thrilled to co-present Philadelphia’s Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID) on Thursday, April 12, 2018.

Meetings are important, and GMID is our chance to come together as an industry to have our voices heard! The conference not only spotlights our Philadelphia-area leaders advocating for meetings business, but also includes a disaster-preparedness workshop featuring Bob Mellinger, founder and CEO of Attainium Corporation. Bob will lead the participants in customized, interactive mock-disaster tabletop exercises known as the Disaster Experience. The conference will close with a celebratory networking reception. Come show your support for our industry with your industry peers and fellow PCMA and MPI members; you will not want to miss this annual event.

In addition to our Philadelphia meeting, hundreds of industry events will be held across six continents on April 12 to recognize and promote this international day of advocacy. This year’s tagline is “Real results, real impact, all around the world.” GMID is organized by Meetings Mean Business (MMB), an industry-wide coalition comprised of leaders across the meetings and events industry. MMB focuses on three themes year-round: Creating Personal Connections; Driving Positive Business Outcomes; and Building Strong Communities.
